Arts Program Director

Arlene has been an arts and cultural advocate for private business, government institutions and non-profit organizations for the past 15 years. She has worked in Marketing, Program Development and Education. She has a special interest in Latino audience development strategies and donor engagement. In 2007, she participated in the prestigious Smithsonian Fellowship program. In this capacity, she worked with the Smithsonian Latino Center and at the National Museum of Natural History. She is a founding Board Member of the San Joaquin International Film Festival and an Arts Program Director for Charros Federation USA. She has served as a volunteer and mentor for the League of United Latin American Citizens (L.U.L.A.C.) , and the national award-winning program The Puente Project , which addresses California’s educationally underrepresented students in higher education. In 2012 she developed the Amigos Del Museo membership program at the Haggin Museum, Stockton, Ca. and worked as an advisor for the third oldest, continuously performing orchestra in California, the Stockton Symphony. She holds an M.A. in Museum Studies from JFK University, BA in History and a BA in Liberal Arts from the University of the Pacific.
